Tecomate is a tree native to tropical and subtropical Latin America. It grows mainly in the Corredor Seco Area located in the South East of the country. The fruit is used to to make a cough syrup that has a licorice flavor. The shell is used to make local crafts like chinchines, bowls, and musical instruments. Seeing the enormous potential in the shell, Natural Art innovated and experimented with the tecomate shells. The shells are cleaned, dried and immunized to achieve the required quality standard to ensure adherence to the bases we use of rubberwood.
